Private Movement Therapy Sessions

I offer private sessions tailored to each individual's needs—supporting children, teens, and adults in developing healthy movement patterns, spatial awareness, and embodiment.

Who I work with:
Anyone from age 4 to 99, including children with developmental delays, teens struggling with focus or coordination, and adults seeking somatic support for healing, grounding, or growth.

Session Length:
Sessions run from 30 minutes to 90 minutes, depending on the individual’s age and need. We determine the appropriate session length together—often in collaboration with a doctor, physical therapist, teacher, or parent.

Movement therapy is a gentle, guided way to support the whole human being—body, soul, and spirit—through mindful, purposeful movement.

About Marie-Douce

Marie-Douce’s journey into movement therapy began in the circus ring. For seven years, she lived in the jungles of Mexico, working as an aerialist for two circus companies and founding a circus school for children and adults. With a background in specialized education, she’s always been drawn to supporting those who face challenges fully incarnating into their bodies.

While leading retreats that blended yoga, acroyoga, and Thai massage, she discovered that movement is a profound way to connect—with others, the public, and the spiritual realm. Her path deepened when she encountered anthroposophy, which brought new light and meaning into her life. This led her to Spacial Dynamics®, where she has since completed Level 3 training and become a certified Movement Therapist and Educator through ISMETA.

For the past decade, Marie-Douce has worked with students from ages 4 to 65, helping them shift and shape their life-force body to foster grounding, presence, and healing. She currently serves as the Movement Teacher at High Mowing Waldorf School in New England and continues to travel internationally—especially in Asia—to offer movement training and workshops.

She is deeply passionate about the Divine Feminine, spiritual embodiment, and the healing power of movement as a soulful, purposeful service to humanity.

What do we do in a session?

From jump rope and balance beam activities that support crossing the midline, to exercises that build upper body and core strength, MarieDouce guides children through story- and song-based movement journeys designed especially for the lower grades. As students grow, they explore stilt walking, tight wire, and aerial fabric, building coordination, spatial awareness, and confidence. All of this is enriched with Spacial Dynamics® exercises that gently improve posture, presence, and integration, helping each child connect more fully to their body, their environment, and their sense of self.

let’s connect!
